Post-feast treats

December 1, 2025

Hopefully you have some space left for some treats after Thanksgiving festivities (or perhaps just a fun weekend!) - we’ve released a bunch of goodies for you to make life just a little bit sweeter!

Incident updates on the mobile app

We now send push notifications for incident updates! This is great if you’d like to get updated about certain incidents via our app versus other channels like email or SMS. Now, just tap on the push notification and you’ll be taken directly to the new Updates tab within the incident for details.

Good news is you do not need to be an On-call user to benefit from these updates. All you have to go is go to your user preferences, under Incident subscriptions, to enable mobile notifications.

Webhooks on alert creation

Customers can now receive webhooks on new alerts being triggered when public_alert.alert_created_v1 events are selected within our webhook setup. This can be helpful if you need to send alert statuses from incident.io to your internal systems.

Add participants to streams in a workflow

When creating a stream as part of a workflow, you can now specify additional users to be added to the stream. This was previously possible when creating a stream manually, but not as part of a workflow.

Update incidents from shift changes via workflows

The "when an on-call shift changes" workflow trigger now lets you run workflow steps on active/triage incidents. This enables use cases like: when someone's on-call shift ends, reassign any incidents they are leading to the person coming on-call.

What else we’ve shipped

New

  • The mobile app now respects your 12h/24h time format
  • When making multiple subscriptions to updates from a status page, it is no longer necessary to re-validate your email each time
  • We now support sending push notifications with an incident overview when you're auto-subscribed to an incident
  • You can now update up to 100 catalog entries per request with the new BulkUpdateEntries API, allowing you to sync data into your catalog more quickly

Improvements

  • We've made disabling alert routes more consistent by unifying the behavior on the overview and edit pages

Bug fixes

  • Fixed issue where some users were redirected back to the app with an error when enforcing SAML login
  • Fixed bug in alert timelines where we'd only show the first incident that was tried for grouping
  • Fixed issue where handling a batch of unrelated alerts would not check an alert route's incident creation conditions
  • Fixed issue where Slack channel button was disabled in the dashboard for Slack Enterprise Grid users
  • Fixed issue where "Set timestamps" post-incident task would not be marked as complete when setting timestamps to the same values

So good, you’ll break things on purpose
