New and improved teams experience

September 10, 2025

We’ve released a new teams experience where you can easily manage and view your team’s information, such as:

  • Related incidents, alerts, escalations, schedules and post incident tasks
  • Who is on-call, including upcoming holidays and cover requests
  • Policy violations
  • Links to all owned resources in Catalog

Plus, we’ve refreshed the homepage to be more focused on you.

Highlights

Back in April of this year, we released the first iteration of native teams within incident.io. This unlocked new features such as easier On-call configuration and a nicer way to view the dashboard filtered to just your team(s).

While these were great foundations, we knew there was more that we wanted to unlock for our customers, especially making team management easier and more intuitive. So, we’ve created a new section in the dashboard for your teams to understand what’s on fire, what’s happened and what you should be pointing your attention towards.

Your teams will now appear in the left sidebar, and you can easily pin and unpin teams so they are always easily accessible for you.

On each team you'll see:

  • Details on related incidents, alerts, escalations, schedules and post incident tasks
    • This also includes a nice way to view multiple team schedules at once!
  • Who is on-call, including upcoming holidays and cover requests
  • Links to all owned resources in Catalog (ie. schedules, escalation paths)
  • Policy violations for your team / team members

Plus, you can customize your team icon and color to ensure it’s distinguished from other teams in your organization!

In addition to all that information, you can get a full list of all your team members on the Members page. This page will provide key details about individuals, such as:

  • Their location and time zone
  • Whether they have an on-call or response seat
  • What contact methods have been set-up as well as their notification rules, if they are on-call users

This is especially helpful if you would like to make sure your whole team is on-call ready without having to go through the more robust on-call readiness reports. Now, you can get that information in real-time directly from the Members page.

We will continue to add on to the team pages in coming weeks, but we hope you will find this view to be a helpful way to manage your team and its incident response.

Refreshed homepage

Prior to the new teams experience, our homepage was filtered to your team(s). This obviously becomes a bit duplicative, so we’ve updated the homepage to be more relevant to you. Now, the homepage will show:

  • A list of incidents you are leading or participating in, or you can view incidents across your whole org
  • A timeline view of upcoming:
    • On-call shifts
    • Follow-up policy violations
    • Cover requests

This way, when you land on incident.io you can immediately see what you need to take action on next.

We’ve also added some nice bits of polish to the home page to make the experience even nicer, such as being able to collapse the timeline view and removed the static in-product marketing banner so you have more space to focus on what matters (it will still exist in some form but not taking up a big chunk of your homepage view).
