Custom Insights dashboards now support dynamic filters that work just like our core dashboards - no more toggling into "edit mode" to change your filters! Previously, Custom Insights dashboards required you to enter "edit mode" to change filters, save those changes, and couldn't be easily shared with specific filters applied. Now, you can:
Update filters on-the-fly without entering edit mode
Share direct links to dashboards with filters already applied (they're encoded in the URL)
Use a single dashboard for multiple use cases by simply changing the filters
As part of this work, also added a new Insights tab to our Team homepage! This is available to all organizations with Teams set up that are backed by a custom field. For now we’re showing the “At a glance” core dashboard and we’re hoping to extend it in future to allow organizations to configure which dashboard they see!
Nested expressions in escalation forms
We've added support for nested expressions in escalate forms - this means you can navigate from a team to escalation paths via multiple routes. For example, starting at a team, we can check their associated escalation paths. If none exist, we can proceed to check their department's escalation paths, and so on.
What else we’ve shipped
New
Trial organizations can self-serve disabling and enabling sample data in Insights
Improvements
Make the users page load more quickly
We've improved support for URLs in alert descriptions
You can now use variables to define your schedule working intervals in Terraform
We've fixed some text alignment on the On-call waitlist page
If you manage a catalog type externally via the importer or Terraform, we'll no longer show a "Create entry" button on the empty page
Bug fixes
We've fixed a bug where if your schedule had a UTC timezone set via the API, and you manually selected to view the schedule via UTC, viewing your overrides preview in another timezone would not work
We'll no longer suggest to request cover from "Nobody"
We've fixed a bug where we didn't always display the latest rotation name when displaying schedule rotations in the mobile app
We've fixed a bug where alerts with long URLs would not be truncated in alert resolved messages
We'll no longer hide the button to acknowledge an escalation from the mobile app if there are multiple people on an escalation level and the other person has acknowledged
We no longer show incident auto-subscribe rules as dependent resources to catalog types anymore, as they can be cleaned up automatically
We've made the select icon in the schedules tab in the mobile app the correct color in light mode
We'll now show Slack mentions (tagging users and channels) properly on internal status pages
Fixed an issue where the text box for replying to a cover request was displaying behind the keyboard
Fixed an issue where Android notifications weren't opening the app properly when you tapped on them
So good, you’ll break things on purpose
