incident.io is the leading all-in-one platform for incident management. From small bugs to major outages, incident.io helps teams respond fast, reduce downtime, and improve every time something goes wrong.
Since launching in 2021, we’ve helped 800 companies—including Netflix, Airbnb and Block—resolve over 250,000 incidents. Every month, more than 30,000 responders across Engineering, Product and Support use incident.io to fix things faster.
We’re a small team that cares deeply about pragmatism, quality, magic, and pace. We've raised $100M from Index Ventures, Insight Partners and Point Nine, alongside many angel investors who are founders and executives of world-class companies.
Our Marketing team is the connective tissue between our product, our customers, and the market. As strategic storytellers with a deep understanding of incident.io, we partner closely with sales, engineering, product, and leadership to drive growth and bring our message to life across every channel.
We thrive in a fast-paced environment where creativity meets precision. From running campaigns and building top-of-funnel programs to crafting clear technical content and shaping our brand, we’re focused on reaching the right audience with the right story. Whether it's launching new features, enabling the sales team, or creating standout content for engineers, we play a key role in driving revenue and building deep engagement with our audience.
We're looking for an engineer who's spent plenty of late nights on-call, debugging production outages, and improving reliability, and who's now ready to share that experience with others.
This isn't your typical marketing-focused DevRel role: you'll still be deeply technical, closely collaborating with our engineers to amplify the innovative work we're doing in areas like agentic incident responders.
As the first DevRel Engineer at incident.io, you'll have the chance to build our DevRel program from scratch, focusing on meaningful, authentic technical communication. If you’re an engineer who's passionate about improving how teams manage the incident lifecycle, and you're excited about shaping an emerging field, this is the role for you.
Write genuinely useful technical content like blog posts, videos, practical guides, demos, code samples, and documentation that drives understanding and awareness of the incident.io product
Work directly with our engineering team, staying close to product development and championing our weekly releases, including keeping product documentation up to date.
Engage actively in online and in-person engineering and SRE communities, sharing insights, best practices, and learnings from your own experiences.
Be a technical bridge between our internal engineers and external users, channeling feedback and insights that shape product improvements.
Represent incident.io at technical conferences, meetups, podcasts, and webinars, communicating real-world solutions to real-world problems.
A proven track record as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a closely related operational engineering role. You understand their workflows, their frustrations, and their aspirations.
Genuinely enjoy writing and speaking about complex technical topics, and can translate engineering concepts clearly and effectively.
Excited about teaching and mentoring fellow engineers, and about making their jobs easier and less stressful.
Practical experience with modern SRE practices, observability tools, incident management tooling, and cloud apps.
Comfortable with public speaking, or eager to build this skill through videos, conferences, webinars, and workshops.
We’re building a place where great people can do their best work—and that means looking after you and your family with benefits that support health and personal growth.
